Friday -I received a message from the Information Officer of the review center I enrolled in: “Review classes will be postponed on Monday.” I was disheartened by the news, as I was excited about starting review. All my other batch-mates have started already.
I decided to do some self-review anyway. I started reading.. and I couldn’t absorb a thing that I read! Then I realized that I was hungry. I don’t study when I hungry. I made a pact to myself not to study when I’m hungry.
I searched the house for food. And found biscuits, chocolates, food that I don’t really enjoy eating when I’m really hungry. I munch on them but no relief is afforded. I kept searching the house.. and I found: a pack of uncooked pasta, an opened pack of cream and a bar of cheese.
Guess what I decided to do?
Cook Mac N’ Cheese!
“Yum!” I thought. But I didn’t have the recipe, nor did I have any experience cooking any pasta dish, except instant noodles if that counts.
So I cooked the pasta anyway.. read the instructions. Added salt and oil and left it boiling. I cooked the sauce afterwards. I didn’t really know how to cook. I just reenacted what my classmate did when he was cooking a cheesy chicken dish.
The dish is done!

The dish looks bland. The pasta is soggy, and it’s not even macaroni! D:
But it’s still food. What’s important is the taste, right?
I tasted it.. and it’s actually not bad for a first-timer. Yey!
I kindled the cook in me, when I should be reviewing. lol.
I’m hoping to learn to cook in the future, not those expensive cuisines I should learn in Culinary Arts, but just simple home-based cooking everyone loves.
Korra as Katniss: “with long black hair, boyish”
Mako as Gale: “Tall, lean, muscular”
Bolin as Peeta: “Medium height, stocky”
and they’re in a love triangle..
If you didn’t watch the show, just read the books, don’t you think their description fits perfectly? :>
